Mr. Peter Au-yang
Mr. Au-Yang has spent more than 20 years in the financial services sector in the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Au-yang joined HSBC in 1985, becoming one of its co-head of Investment Banking for the Asia-Pacific region in 2001. He was an Executive Director and the COO of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission between 2003 and 2006.
Mr. Au-Yang holds a MSc degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Mr. Stephen CuUnjieng
Mr. CuUnjieng is the Chairman and CEO of Evercore Asia Limited, a company he joined since 2009. Having been in the industry since 1986, Mr. CuUnjieng was the Vice Chairman, ASEAN at Macquarie in Hong Kong from 2004 to 2009. He also held Managing Director positions at Merrill Lynch, Morgan Grenfell and PCIBank.
Mr. CuUnjieng holds A.B. and Ll.B. from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines and MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rolf Furter
Dr. Furter was Syngenta’s Head of Global Product Development and has 30 years’ experience in the agrochemicals industry. He has led various projects in R&D for Roche Pharma, Roche Agro and Ciba Geigy Animal Health. Dr. Further also built the Crop Protection Organisation for Ciba Geigy, Novartis and Syngenta. In 2009, he formed a highly successful Global Seeds R&D programme.
Dr. Furter received his Ph. D. in Microbiology from Zurich University, Switzerland.
Mr. Markus Haefeli
Mr. Haefeli is Golden Springs Group’s Managing Director. He is also the co-founder and managing director of the Parazelsus Group, a pharmaceutical distribution group focussed on South Asia. Before this, Mr. Haefeli was the COO of a private hospital group in Switzerland. Mr. Haefeli started his career at Proctor and Gamble, joined Zuellig Pharma in 1995 and became the group's CFO.
Mr. Haefeli holds a Masters of Science in Business Administration from the University of Berne.
Ms Jean Hoffman
Ms. Hoffman has successfully sold two businesses that she founded and built. First was Newport Strategies, Inc, a proprietary healthcare information technology system. The second was Putney, a leading generic drug company for pets, that sold for USD200m in 2016.
Ms. Hoffman has been honoured with numerous awards, including EY Entrepreneur Of The Year
2014 Award winner in the life sciences category for New England.
Dr. Urs Lustenberger
Dr. Lustenberger has been a Partner at Lustenberger Attorneys at Law since 1994. He is regularly consulted by governmental, legal and economic entities and frequently speaks at governmental and legal conferences on Asia-Pacific related business topics. Dr. Lustenberger is also the President of the Swiss Asian Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Lustenberger was admitted to Zurich Bar and obtained Dr. iur. from the University of Zurich.
Markus started Golden Springs Group together with our founder, Peter Zuellig in 2015. Markus is also the co-founder and managing director of the Parazelsus Group. Before this, Markus was a Chief Operating Officer of a private hospital group in Switzerland. In 1995, Markus joined Zuellig Pharma and became the group's Chief Financial Officer. He started his career at Proctor and Gamble as a Financial Analyst. Markus holds a Masters of Science in Business Administration from the University of Berne.
Alberto Parisi Presicce, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Alberto joined Golden Springs in 2019. Prior to this, he was a Partner at Translink Corporate Finance, an international advisory group specialised in cross-border M&A. Alberto co-founded the Italian firm of Translink and also served as global Head of Automotive. Alberto began his career as an Equity Analyst for ABN Amro in London. In 2003 he joined Market Capital, an investment banking boutique in Milan, where he became Head of Corporate Finance. Alberto gained a MSc in Finance from Cass Business School in London after graduating in Political Science from the "La Sapienza" University of Rome.
Michelle joined Golden Springs Group in 2019. Before she joined us, Michelle served at a multi-billion dollar business group from 2012 and progressed to become the group’s Financial Controller. Similarly, Michelle grew through the ranks of the Finance team during her tenure at Unilever. She began her career as an auditor with KPMG. Michelle is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University.
Mr. Peter Zuellig was the founder and chairman of the Golden Springs Group. Mr. Zuellig was also the founder and visionary of the Parazelsus Group (2006), an independent, pro-active investment, and management group, which today is focused on distribution services for healthcare products in South Asia. Mr. Zuellig was the former Executive Director of Interpacific Holdings Limited, a transnational group that he joined in 1981. A graduate of the faculty of law, University of Zurich, Mr. Zuellig subsequently completed postgraduate studies at Columbia University as well as Harvard Business School.
Mr. Peter Zeullig passed away on 24 December 2018. We are committed to continuing his vision for the group.
